The Cauchemard de Darwish stems from the intent of showing the audience a traditional dance performed in the Middle East during weddings and feasts, dabkeh. The simple steps are danced alone before slowly transforming into a round of hundreds of steps. Music takes centre stage and transports us on a journey between Berber style music and the raw sounds of trap, electro cousin of dub step and turbulent daughter of hip-hop. A piece on a possible harmony, an unmistakeable fraternity, a homage to the universal poetry of Palestinian Mahmoud Darwish.
